The team of Police Station Nand Nagri achieved a significant success by apprehending a bootlegger involved in the illegal supply of liquor and recovering large quantity of illicit liquor during a well-coordinated operation based on secret information.
On 26.07.2026 at about 8:05 PM, Ct. Nempal along with Ct. Rohan were on routine patrolling duty in the area of D-Block, Nand Nagri. During patrolling, a reliable secret informer approached the police team and informed them that a person would shortly arrive from the Mandoli Flyover side on a scooty carrying illicit liquor for supply in the area.
The information was immediately conveyed to the SHO, who directed the police team to take appropriate legal action. Acting promptly, the police team laid a strategic picket near Kali Mata Mandir, Nand Nagri.
After a short wait, a suspect matching the description provided by the informer was seen approaching on a scooty carrying suspicious bags. On the informer’s identification, the police team intercepted and apprehended him.The accused was identified as Dev Koli (25 years), S/o Late Dal Chand,R/o B-2 Block, Nand Nagri, Delhi.
On checking the bags carried on the scooty, the police team recovered 250 quarter bottles of illicit liquor.
Accordingly, FIR No. 409/2026 under Section 33 of the Delhi Excise Act was registered at PS Nand Nagri, and the accused was arrested. On sustained interrogation accused Dev Kohli admitted for his crime and revealed about his source of supply.

Recovery
• 250 quarter bottles (pawas) of illicit liquor.
• One scooty used for transportation of the illicit liquor.
Further investigation is in progress to ascertain the source of the illicit liquor and identify other persons involved in the illegal supply network.
