In the guidance of DCP South delhi IPS Ankit chauhan SHO of Mehrauli with his team arrested active autolifters

ACTIVE AUTO LIFTER (B.C) ARRESTED BY PS MEHRAULI (SOUTH DISTRICT)

INTRODUCTION:-The staff of PS Mehrauli, South District has done commendable work by arresting an active auto-lifter namely Sonu @ Rohit (BC of Police Station Adarsh Nagar) in case FIR No.37/2024, dated 10/01/2024, u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Mehrauli. Upon his instance, 04 stolen motorcycles and 01 button actuated knife were recovered.

BRIEFING OF THE STAFF:-To curb crime in the area of PS Mehrauli, traps were mounted at the vulnerable areas at different time slots and the modus operandi used by the criminals was briefed to the staff for prevention and detection in the area. Accordingly, the staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence. They were also directed to keep a vigil over the Jail/Bail released as well as parole released criminals and thoroughly scanned about them who are suspected to be involved in any type of criminal activities. Further, several teams for conducting patrolling in the area were formed and directed to intensify the patrolling.

How police team of Mehrauli arrested ?

PATROLLING & OPERATION:-

The staff comprising of HC Bhopender and Ct. Deepak of PS Mehrauli were deployed on area patrolling for prevention and detection of crime. When they were checking the vehicles near 100 foota road, a person on a motorcycle tried to escape the checking. On suspicious the patrolling staff chased and apprehended him. Later on, he was identified as Sonu @ Rohit (B.C. of Police Station Adarsh Nagar). On his cursory search, 01 button actuated knife was recovered from his possession. He was asked to show the documents of the motorcycle but he tried to mislead the police staff. However, on checking the motorcycle was found to be stolen. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 37/2024, dated 10/01/2024, U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered at PS Mehrauli. The accused was arrested and during further investigation 03 more stolen motorcycles were recovered from his instance.

Sonu is a B.C. of Police Station Adarsh Nagar and previously found to be involved in following 08 cases: –

2. FIR No.12526/2022 U/s 379/411/34 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar.
3. FIR No.501/2022 U/s 379/411 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar.
4. FIR No.502/2022 U/s 379/411 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar.
5. FIR No.367/2019 U/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Karawal Nagar.
6. FIR No.35478/2016 U/s 379/411 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar.
7. FIR No.388/2015 U/s 379/411 IPC, PS Samai Pur Badli.
8. FIR No.240/2009 U/s 392/394/34 IPC, PS Adarsh Nagar.

RECOVERY:-

1. 04 stolen motorcycles.
2. 01 button actuated knife.
