• THEY TRIED TO DODGE THE POLICE TEAM BY CHANGING THEIR LOCATIONS FREQUENTLY AND ALSO CHANGED THEIR CLOTHES AFTER THE INCIDENT.
• THEY WERE NABBED BY THE POLICE TEAM BY A HUNT OF 7 DAYS COVERING MORE THAN 1000 CCTV CAMERAS OF ABOUT 35 KMS.

INCIDENT:
Delhi- In the afternoon of 27.04.26, a PCR call regarding robbery of cash Rs. 4,18,600/- was received at PS Burari. The local police reached the spot where complainant Sandeep, aged 40 years, R/o Nathupura, Delhi reported that he works as a Cash Collection Agent in a private company and collects cash from online trading stores. On 27.04.26, he collected cash Rs. 4,18,600/- from Zepto Warehouse, Swaroop Nagar Road, Burari. He kept the cash in a bag and moved to another store on his motorcycle. While he reached near Om Garden Banquet, 60 foota road, two persons riding on a scooty hit his motorcycle due to which, he fell down on the road and sustained minor injuries. Meanwhile, two more persons on another scooty came there and all the four persons robbed his bag having cash and fled away towards Swaroop Nagar on their scooties. Subsequently, a case FIR No. 276/26, u/s 309(4)/309(6)/3(5) BNS was registered at PS Burari and investigation was taken up accordingly.
TEAM AND INVESTIGATION:
A dedicated team comprising SI Mohit, SI Vikas, ASI Sudhir, HC Rahish, HC Pradeep, HC Rohtash, HC Amar, HC Sandeep and Ct. Uttam was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. Girish Chandra Raturi, SHO/PS Burari and guidance of Shri Shashi Kant Gaur, ACP/Sub-Division Burari, Delhi to nab the accused persons and to recover the robbed cash.
The team analysed the footage of CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity in which four persons were seen fleeing on two scooties after the incident. The team chased the accused persons following the forward and backward routes taken by the robbers with the help of CCTV cameras. The police team followed the CCTV trail covering more than 1000 CCTV cameras of 35 kilometers in which they noticed that all the four accused persons had passed through different villages and entered Haryana on a single scooty through Dahisra Border and after few hours, two of them again entered Delhi through Singhu Border on the same scooty. Finally, their location was tracked in Jahangirpuri area where they were seen on the stairs of a hotel in a CCTV footage. After checking the hotel records, it was revealed that two suspect persons had stayed in the hotel for about five hours and their IDs and mobile phones which they had given in the hotel were obtained by the police team. Their identity was revealed as Sameer and Krish, both residents of Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi.
With the help of technical surveillance, the location of both the suspect persons was zeroed in at Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi. The team laid a strategic trap and after diligent efforts of the team, three persons were apprehended on 03.05.26 and while apprehending the accused persons, one police personnel HC Rahish sustained minor injury in his right leg. The identity of the accused persons was revealed as (1) Sameer, aged 25 years, (2) Krish, aged 22 years and (3) Kapil, aged 19 years. At their instance, their co-accused namely Shahdab @ Amit, aged 21 years was also apprehended from Ashok Vihar area on the same day. Cash Rs. 26,000/-, one mobile phone purchased from the robbed cash and one scooty stolen from the area of PS Timarpur and used in the crime were recovered.
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, all accused persons admitted their involvement in the above robbery incident. Accused Sameer disclosed that earlier, he worked as a Delivery Boy in Zepto Store, Azadpur, Delhi and left the job few days before. While he was in job, he had noticed movement of cash by collection agents. He along with other accused persons made a plan to rob the cash from collection agent for which he along-with Krish made recee of the Zepto stores. Accused Sameer along with Kapil and Shahdab had stolen two scooties from Timarpur and Mukherjee Nagar area few days before and committed the above robbery.
After committing the robbery, they escaped from the spot on their scooties and distributed money among themselves. They frequently changed their locations to dodge the police. On the way, they left one of their scooties abandoned and also changed their clothes. Then, they entered Haryana through Dahisra Border on a single scooty. Two of them got separated and another two again entered Delhi through Singhu Border and reached Alipur area where they parked their scooty and reached a hotel in Jahangirpuri by a tempo where they stayed for about five hours and then they left the hotel. Accused Sameer had purchased a mobile phone from robbed money and accused Krish deposited some amount of robbed money in his bank account as he was fond of online gaming.
Efforts are being made to recover the remaining robbed cash and to recover another scooty used in the crime.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
1. Sameer, aged 25 years, R/o Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi has studied upto 10th pass. Earlier, he worked as a Delivery Boy in Zepto Store, Azad Pur and about 20 days before, he had left the job.
2. Krish, aged 22 years, R/o Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi is a school dropout. He was fond of online gaming.
3. Kapil, aged 19 years, R/o Jhuggi Lal Bagh, Azad Pur, Delhi is a school dropout and working as motor mechanic in the area of Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi.
4. Shahdab @ Amit, aged 21 years, R/o Azadpur, Delhi has studied upto 12th standard. He is working as a Compounder in a doctor’s clinic at Azadpur for the last two years.
RECOVERY:
1. Robbed cash Rs. 26,000/-.
2. One mobile phone purchased from robbed money.
3. One stolen scooty make Honda Activa.
4. Victim’s Bag containing some documents.
5. Clothes used by robbers at the time of incident.
