Delhi – INTERSTATE ILLICIT LIQUOR SUPPLIER ARRESTED WITH HUGE QUANTITY OF ILLICIT LIQUOR, BEING FERRIED IN TATA NEXON CAR WHICH HAS ALSO BEEN SEIZED, BY THE TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF, DWARKA DISTRICT.
• 1650 QUARTERS (33 PETI) OF ILLEGAL LIQUOR CONTAINING 180 ML EACH, RECOVERED FROM NEXON CAR.
• DEDICATED TEAM OF SPECIAL STAFF, DWARKA DISTRICT YET AGAIN CONDUCTS A DRIVE AGAINST ILLEGAL LIQUOR.
• TATA NEXON CAR USED FOR THE TRANSPORTATION OF ILLICIT LIQUOR ALSO CONFISCATED.
• ACCUSED HAS SIMILAR PREVIOUS INVOLVEMENT.
The active staff of Special Staff, Dwarka District has done a commendable job by arresting Vishal S/o Puran Singh, aged 24 years, with recovery of large quantity of illicit liquor i.e. 33 cartoons (Total- 1650 Quarters) and one TATA Nexon Car No. HR-14P-XXXX used in supply of illicit liquor.
TASKING AND TEAM :-
As desired by DCP Dwarka District, a special drive against interstate illicit liquor suppliers is on. A special team led by Insp. Kamlesh Kumar, I/c Special Staff comprising HC Pardeep, W/HC Geeta, Const. Manjeet and Const. Jai Bhagwan under the supervision of ACP/Operations – Sh. Ravinder Ahlawat was constituted to check the movement of persons indulged in supply of illicit liquor across interstate borders.
In pursuance of the task, team started making surveillance over vehicles indulged in supply of illicit liquor and entering Delhi by crossing Delhi-Haryana Borders situated in Dwarka District.
Traps were laid at several entry points of the border. Secret informers were also deployed to track vehicles and gather clues in this regard.
INFORMATION & ARREST :-
Finally, in the wee hours of 02.03.2026, a specific information was received by HC Pardeep that one interstate supplier namely Vishal, who is indulged in supplying of illicit liquor would come at Dwarka with his TATA Nexon car having huge quantity of illicit liquor, Delhi. As per information, a trap was laid and at the instance of secret informer, TATA Nexon Car No. HR-14P-XXXX was located at Rewla Khanpur Village situated at Gurugram-Najafgarh Road, Delhi.
Driver of the car was signalled to stop the car who instead accelerated the car and tried to flee. The team swiftly chased the driver of the car & apprehended him while he was trying to open the door of the car with the intent to flee from the spot.
On checking, a large quantity of illicit liquor – 33 Cartoons (1650 Quarters illicit) liquor were recovered from TATA Nexon Car.
As per recovery, a case vide FIR No. 71/2026, dated 02.03.26, U/s 33/38/58 (d) Delhi Excise Act, PS Chhawla was registered and after sustained interrogation, accused Vishal was arrested in the present case.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON :-
Accused Vishal S/o Puran Singh, R/o Dhulsisras, Dwarka, Delhi, aged 24 years. He studied upto 8th class & used to work as a driver but he had lost his job owing to his bad habits. While driving, he met liquor suppliers living lavishly off smuggling profits.
To mint easy money, he started selling illicit liquor in Delhi. He is previously involved in one case of Delhi Excise Act.
RECOVERY: –
• 1650 Quarters of Fresh Santra Masaledar Desi Sharaab for Sale in Haryana.
• One TATA Nexon Car used in supplying illicit Liquor.
Further investigation is going on.
