OPERATION & RECOVERY:-
A police team of PS Ranhola comprising HC Pardeep and HC Manjeet was on night patrolling duty in the area. While patrolling near Police Enclave Chanchal Park, the team noticed a suspicious person who on seeing the police, attempted to hide himself.
Suspecting foul play, the alert police personnel acted swiftly and apprehended the individual. On enquiry, he was identified as Sumit Dhara @ Devil.
During his personal search, one button-actuated knife and one mobile phone was recovered from his possession.
Verification of the recovered mobile phones through their IMEI numbers revealed that the mobile phone was found linked to previously registered FIR vide:
* e-FIR No. 80018718/26 under section 303(2) BNS, PS Ranhola
Accordingly, FIR No. 292/26 under section 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Ranhola. The accused was arrested and the recovered articles were seized as per law. Upon verification, the accused found BC of PS Ranhola and previously involved in 10 criminal cases.
