Special Cell Delhi Police officers in guidance of Ips H.G.S.Dhaliwal arrested an absconding habitual robber involved in sensational robbery of PS Bhalaswa dairy

DELHI | DELHI POLICE, Special cell arrested a notorious interstate robber, Sarfaraz who was  accused and had been absconding in a sensational robbery case of PS Bhalaswa Dairy, Delhi.He is a habitual offender and is involved in more than 15 robbery and extortion cases.

One of the Sharpest and wise team of Delhi Special cell was formed by ACP VED PRAKASH,Special cell directed by Senior IPS and Special commissioner H.G.S. Dhaliwal,Special Cell.

Team of special cell officers started investigating the matter and through the help of state cameras and sources of special cell.

Accused Sarfaraz was caught and arrested by the special cell team. Accused Sarfaraz was caught with a pistol.

Special Cell Team recovered One pistol and also two live cartridges from the accused and habitual offender “SARFARAZ “

In the supervision of Acp Ved prakash Inspr. Karamvir Singh, Inspr. Pawan Kumar, and Inspr. Jitender Mavi,  and Sh. Alok Kumar, DCP/SR, Special Cell has arrested an absconding interstate robber, namely Sarfaraz who is a resident of  Shahdara, Delhi. He was nabbed in the late night hours of January 1, 2024, from MB Road in the Tughlakabad area of Delhi after a brief exchange of fire. One pistol with one live cartridge was recovered from his possession. Arrested accused Sarafaraj was involved in 15 criminal cases and was wanted in a case of sensational robbery of PS Bhalaswa Dairy, Delhi.

There was information with the Special Cell/SR about the movements of the absconding robber, namely Sarfaraz in the South-East Delhi area, and a team in the supervision of ACP Ved Prakash a team was deployed to track the habitual interstate robber and the accused Sarfaraz was frequently changing his hideouts to evade his arrest.

However, the persistent efforts of the team paid off when specific information regarding the arrival of the accused, Sarfaraz, at MB Road, near Tughlakabad Fort, was received by the Special Cell team. Subsequently, a team was immediately sent to Tughlakabad, Delhi, and at about 10:15 PM, Sarfaraj was spotted coming on a scooty from Mehrauli side on MB Road, and he parked his scooty near the boundary wall of the Tughlakabad Fort. The members of the team encircled him and asked him to surrender. However, he whipped out a pistol and fired a round towards the police team.

ACP Ved prakash along with Special Cell Police Officers , without caring for their lives, pounced upon him and finally overpowered and disarmed him. Luckily, nobody was injured during the scuffle. Special Cell recovered a pistol with two live cartridges after busting the accused.

A case under the appropriate sections of law was registered at PS Special Cell in this regard.

Sarfaraj has been involved in more than 15 criminal cases of attempt to murder, robbery, Arms Act, theft, etc. in Delhi and other states as well. He was also wanted in a case of PS Bhalswa Dairy, lodged vide FIR No. 702/2023 u/s 394/397/34 IPC & 27 Arms Act. Sarafarz along with an associate robbed Shyam Sunder on gun point with  Rs. 1,53,000 cash which  he was carrying with him reported at PS Bhalswa Dairy.
