Harsh Mishra resident of Ghaziabad chased and assaulted

Life of Harsh perils as Surender Bansal threatens

Delhi | Harsh Mishra, son of Mr. Ashutosh Mishra, a 23-year-old defense aspirant currently residing with his family in a rented house in Ghaziabad was recently returning from Prayagraj after appearing for the SSB of UPSC CDS. On 22nd February 2025, at approximately 6:00 – 6:20 PM, he was at Ram Park for some relaxation after a long study session. During this time, a heavily intoxicated individual, Surendra Bansal, brother of the current Parshad of Janakpuri, Sahibabad (Ramnivas Bansal), began harassing children playing cricket in the park. He forcibly took a wooden bat from them and attempted to hit them. The children ran away in fear.

After this, he approached Harsh while he was sitting on a park bench with his friend. Without any provocation, he started verbally abusing and aggressively questioned why he had not stopped the children from playing. He politely responded that it was a public park, and he had no authority to stop them. However, he continued hurling abuses and threatened to kill. He forcibly sat beside Harsh, demanded his personal details, and openly threatened to kill him and his family next morning at 9 o clock. He also made caste-based remarks, saying, “We are Gujjars; this is our area. We will kill all of you.”

Sensing the danger, Harsh tried to distance myself from him. However, as he walked away, he shouted by abusing at him to return. When he went near to him with keeping distance to say not abuse my mother and sister, he kept incessantly abusing him, as he turned back to go away, he suddenly struck me on the head and left ear with the cricket bat, causing me to collapse. I momentarily lost consciousness and, upon regaining partial awareness, saw him lifting the bat again. At that moment, I also noticed a gun tucked into his waist, further escalating his fear.

In a state of panic and severe pain, he covered his injured ear and ran towards home while calling both the police and my family for help. Surendra Bansal chased him to the park gate, attempting to attack me again and kill him, but he managed to escape.

Upon reaching home, he informed all the incident to his mother, they went to police as he called them, he asked the police to bring him to a hospital, but the officers refused to take him to the hospital. His mother then took him to a nearby clinic, where he received first aid as he was bleeding. The doctor informed him that his left ear had been severely injured, almost split into two, requiring 16 stitches.

After receiving first aid, they went to Sahibabad Police Station to file an FIR. Initially, the police refused to register the complaint, but after repeated insistence, they agreed. However, instead of applying the appropriate legal sections, they deliberately registered a weaker case, minimizing the severity of the attack. They also stated that a medical examination was not possible since first aid had already been administered. Only after repeated requests did they send him to MMG Hospital, Ghaziabad, for a medical examination.

At MMG Hospital, the situation further deteriorated when the doctors attempted to falsely accuse him of being intoxicated. After demanding an alternative test, the doctors agreed later he was not drunk, and he was not treated there by doctors but treated by some boys there who were not doctors. The behavior of both the police and the hospital staff strongly suggests the influence of Parshad Ramnivas Bansal, who appears to be using his political power to suppress the case.

Since the incident, I have received multiple phone calls from Parshad Ramnivas Bansal and his family, pressuring to settle the matter. Furthermore, family and Harsh are being constantly followed and intimidated by the associates. Harsh and his family are in fear for their safety and demand immediate protection.

This brutal attack has not only caused physical harm but has also disrupted his career aspirations and mental peace. As the eldest son of a lower-middle-class family, he has worked tirelessly to achieve his goal of serving the nation. However, this unprovoked violence and the subsequent injustice has deeply affected his dreams and well-being.
