Finest team of Crime branch in the guidance of IPS Ravindra Singh Yadav arrested the Sharp shooter of Dreaded gangster Kala Jathedi

A team of AGS/Crime Branch has arrested a desperate sharpshooter of Kala Jathedi – Raju Basodi – Anil Chippi gang named Vicky, 29 years R/o VPO Sanghi, District Rohtak, Haryana after a brief exchange of fire in the area of Chhawla, Delhi. The criminals fired 02 rounds upon the police team and in order to self-defence police fired 06 rounds on assailant. During this 02 bullets hit the right leg of the accused and he was shifted at nearest hospital. A case FIR No. 16/2024, U/s 186/353/307 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act has been registered at PS Crime Branch, in this regard.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION

In order to curb crime & criminal activities in the area of Delhi/NCR, the team of AGS/Crime Branch was tasked to keep a check on wanted criminals and gangsters operating. Manual as well as technical surveillance was mounted on suspects.

Secret information was received that a wanted criminal named Vicky would go to Dwarka via Chhawla Drain for committing heinous crime. It also came to notice that he always carries fire arms with him and does not hesitate to attack and fire upon police team.

Reacting on the information, a team led by Insp. Krishan Kumar, comprising of Insp Gulshan, SI Sachin, SI Agam, SI Brij Lal, SI Mukesh, ASI Surender Kumar, ASI Narender, HC Deepak, HC Dharamraj, HC Pappu, HC Mintu, HC Parveen and HC Shyam Sunder under the close supervision of ACP Naresh Kumar was constituted by DCP Amit Goel to nab the gangster/shooter.

The team reached near Chhawla Drain road, Delhi and a picket checking was started. At around 02:45 AM, one motorcycle was intercepted which was coming from Chawla Drain road, Delhi, and was signalled to stop by the police officials, on which he tried to flee but he was not able to control the motorcycle which slipped while turning. Accused asked to surrender but he fired 04 rounds on police party. The police team also fired in self-defense in order to apprehend the gangster and managed to apprehend the accused with his illegal weapons and ammunition. The name of accused person revealed as Vicky, 29 years R/o VPO Sanghi, District Rohtak, Haryana. Thereafter, a case FIR No. 16/2024, U/s 186/353/307 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi has been registered, in this regard. He is wanted in many heinous cases including murder, extorting etc.

INTERROGATION:

During the course of interrogation, accused Vicky disclosed that in the year of 2018, he released on bail in a murder case of PS Baroda, Sonipat, Haryana and started working as a financer. He had rivalry with some boys of his village who had killed his childhood friend. In 2022, he came in contact with Anil Chippi-Kala Jathedi– Raju Basodi gang. They tasked him to provide logistics and shooters to execute extortion task in the area of Delhi/NCR. He started working for gang on contract basis.

Accused Vicky hired two shooters namely Kartik and Pardeep to extort money from property dealers. On his instruction, on 07.11.2023, accused Kartik and Pardeep reached in the area of Om Vihar, Uttam Nagar, Delhi, and opened a discriminatory firing on the owner of the property dealer. They also dropped a handwritten letter at the office on the direction of Dinesh Karala. In which, they asked him to meet Dinesh Karala Bhai and also threatened that if he did not meet Dinesh Bhai, bullet would pierce the chest of the person, found sitting inside the office and grenades would be thrown at their construction sites. They demanded Rs. 2 crores from property dealer. While escaping from the spot, shooters fired several rounds in the air to terrorize the public. It creates a severe dent in the peace and harmony of society, and the citizens of the locality were horrified after this incident. In this regard, a case FIR No. 737/2023, U/s 307/384/34 IPC & 25/27 Arms Act was registered at PS Bindapur, Delhi. Accused Kartik and Pardeep earlier were arrested by Crime Branch with 02 sophisticated pistols and 02 cartridges. In this case, Vicky provided these pistols to extort money from property dealer. AGS/Crime Branch was searching for Vicky who is the source in case FIR No. 276/2023, u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act, PS Crime Branch, Delhi.

In November 2023, accused Vicky was hired by one lawyer to kill his rival person. On the instruction of lawyer, he killed one person in this marriage function. One Army personnel and one UP Police personnel also sustained bullet injuries in this incident. In this regard, FIR No. 489/2023, U/s 143/341/323/302/307, IPC & 3/25 Arms Act was registered at PS Kotkasim, Rajasthan.

Recently, accused Vicky sent 02 shooters at Shiv properties, old Palam Road, Delhi. They fired on property dealer office and handed over extortion demand letter to the property dealer, therein he demanded 1.5 crore in the name of Kala Jathedi and Raju Basodi. In this regard case FIR No. 14/24, u/s 307/387/34 IPC & 25 /27 Arms Act PS Dwarka North has been registered.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED VICKY 

Accused Vicky, 29 years R/o VPO Sanghi, District Rohtak, Haryana has completed his graduation from MDU Rohtak Haryana. He came in contact with Raju Basodi in Sonipat jail, who introduced him to Kala Jathedi and Anil Chippi. To earn easy money, he started working with them to gain easy fame and name also. He started recruiting the foot soldiers for the gang who were capable to work with passion.
