Special Staff South arrested active bootleggers and recovered 15 cartons of liquor

ACTIVE BOOTLEGGER ARRESTED BY SPECIAL STAFF, SOUTH DISTRICT

The team of Special Staff, South District has done commendable work by arresting an active bootlegger namely Amar Pal in case FIR No. 277/24, dated-15/5/2024 U/s 33/52 Delhi Excise Act, PS Fatehpur Beri. Upon his instance, 15 cartons containing 720 quarters of liquor and 01 car used in crime were recovered.

The Special Staff of South District was specifically tasked to curb the crime and to take the strict action against the bootleggers. Accordingly, the staff is making sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence regarding movement of bootleggers. In continuation of an all-out drive, traps are mounted regularly on strategic locations to nab such people indulged in organized crime.

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION: –

On 15.05.24, HC Krishan posted in Special Staff, South District got a specific input about selling of liquor at PS Fatehpur Beri area. Hence, a team of Special Staff/SD comprising of SI Dayanand, ASI Anil, HC Yashpal, HC Pankaj, HC Narendra, HC Akhilesh, Ct. Sandeep and ASI Ravinder (PS Fatehpur Beri) headed by I/C Special Staff/South District under the supervision of ACP/OPS South District was formed to act swiftly. The information was further developed and local enquiry of the area was conducted. Accordingly, as per input the team laid a trap at Jheel Khurd Police Check Post, under jurisdiction of PS Fatehpur Beri. At around 02:35 PM, a car was seen coming and on pointing out of the informer, the car was successfully intercepted. Later on, the accused was identified as Amar Pal. Upon search of the car, 15 cartons containing 720 quarters of liquor were recovered. The accused was arrested and the recovered liquor and car were seized.During the course of interrogation accused Amar Pal disclosed that he has been indulged in supply of illicit liquor for the last 6-8 months to earn easy money. He brought the liquor from Gurugram and delivered the same in border areas of South Delhi.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED: -Amar Pal S/o Jit Ram R/o Village Bandhwari, Tehsil Sohna, Distt. Gurugram, Haryana, Age 28 year. He was previously found to be involved in case FIR No. 198/24, dt 23-03-24 U/S 33/58 Delhi Excise Act, PS Fatehpur Beri.

RECOVERY: –

1. 15 cartons containing 720 quarters of liquor
2. 01 car used in crime

Further investigation is in progress. The staff involved in good work is being suitably rewarded.
