Srinagar, October 25, 2026, The National Loktantrik Party (NLP) has elected Shri Davinder Singh Grover as President of its State Working Committee in Jammu & Kashmir. The election marks an important step towards strengthening the party’s organisational structure and expanding its commitment to democratic values, public welfare, and the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
The occasion was attended by M. Yaqoob Dunoo, National Spokesperson, National Loktantrik Party; Firdos Ahmed, State General Secretary; Sheikh Zahoor, District President, Baramulla; and Shahista Akhter, State President, Mahila Morcha, along with other party members and supporters.
The party leadership expressed confidence that Shri Davinder Singh Grover, with his experience, dedication, and commitment, would work towards strengthening the organisation at the grassroots level, fostering unity among party workers, and addressing the genuine concerns of the people.
Reaffirming the party’s political commitment, the National Loktantrik Party reiterated that it would continue to raise the demand for the restoration of full statehood to Jammu & Kashmir and advocate the restoration of the constitutional status associated with Articles 370 and 35A. The party maintained that the aspirations, dignity, identity, and democratic rights of the people of Jammu & Kashmir must remain central to all political and developmental initiatives.
The leadership further emphasised the need for a strong, united, and accountable political organisation that prioritises public grievances, employment opportunities, economic development, and the welfare of all sections of society. The party expressed hope that the newly elected President would lead the State Working Committee with sincerity, inclusiveness, and determination, while strengthening public confidence in democratic institutions.
